Where is the Podcast?
(not safe for work version)Once again, Monday morning has come and you have not. Many of you visited the site this morning expecting to download my podcast so you could listen to me blab, giggle, and moan while you ate your bowl of Cheerios (or, if you’re lucky, your girlfriend). Well, I’ve come to a decision regarding the podcasts, and you’re probably not going to like it. Oh, don’t worry, I’m not stopping. The response to last week’s podcast was much too good for that. What I have decided, however, is to slow it down. Rather than producing a podcast every week, I’ll now be spacing them out to every other week.
I came to this decision for several reasons. First, producing podcasts is a lot of work. Admittedly, this is partly because Lucky and I are still learning the software and working out the kinks in the process. But even aside from that, there are the tasks of coming up with content, recording the clips, and mixing it all together. This has made for some very late Sunday nights, and disappointed looks from my boss when I crawl into work at 10am on Monday mornings.
The next issue is the quality of the podcasts. I felt that the last podcast was, by far, my best. The sound quality and mixing were good, the post reading was great, and the product review was exactly the kind of fun and titillating content I had envisioned providing all along. Much to my delight, many of you felt the same and I received lots of positive feedback via email, IM, and voicemail. This feedback really helped give me a solid direction for the podcasts, and I plan to use this to make them better and better by including, among other things, more sexy product reviews in upcoming shows. I think that, in order to provide a high quality show, I can’t be pressured to put one out every week.
The third, and probably most important, factor in this decision has to do with the general direction and quality of the entire blog. Sure, the podcasts are a fun way to give my readers another piece of me, but, at heart, I’m a writer. When I’m scribbling the dirty details of my latest encounter, I get a charge that I don’t get anywhere else - not even in the bedroom. I’d like to think that this comes through in my writing and that this is what ultimately keeps you coming back for more when there are so many other blogs out there to fill up your RSS readers.
So, babydolls, what all of this means is that I’m getting back to my roots. I’m putting the focus back on my writing so you’ll start seeing more frequent and higher quality posts in the near future. And I’ll still be sure to bring you all of the moaning and groaning that you can handle for your biweekly dose of aural pleasure.

I don’t really even have to say anything. You know how I feel.
Do what makes you happy. That’s the most important thing. Everything else will fall into place and you’ll find that you’re enjoying this more than ever before. I’m pretty sure that if you are enjoying this, we’ll be enjoying you.

Hi Miss K -
I believe that a creative, well written blog would be much more interesting than a blog of rushed posts and crappy podcasts. If you want to make this a sustainable high quality place, then you can’t have too many late Sunday night pushes.
Zoinks!
