Podcast #1: “The Sound From My Knees”
(not safe for work version)Here it is, babydolls: My very first podcast. I had a little trouble with the background noise cancellation tools on my audio editing software, so with all of those little chirps in the background it almost sounds like I’m recording from the deck of the Starship Enterprise [geek reference]. I promise to do better next time. I’m also curious to see who will be the first to identify the sound clip at the end.

This clip is too easy! Are you planing on doing a remake, though?
You sound almost exactly like I’d imagined. So glad you started doing this. I enjoyed it and look forward to more.

Thanks, Mick!
Oddly enough, when I just listened to the recording again I didn’t hear all those chirps and weird noises I heard when I first produced it. But yeah, it could definitely sound better. Anyone have tips on how to keep my S’s from sounding so harsh? Will I be forced to invest in a higher quality microphone?

a better quality microphone woluld certainly help. you might try lowering the input volume just a tad and moving the microphone just a little farther away from your mouth. Those should all result in the “S’s’ being less harsh.

Just Me - that is correct! I know, it’s an easy one. I thought I’d start off easy. I’ll have to find more obscure instances of mainstream media orgasms for the next podcasts. This could be a fun new game!
Mick, thanks for the tips. I’ll play around with volumes and mic locations.

Wonderful first podcast, Miss Knees! I applaud your initiative, and your audio/tech savvy will only improve with practice. You have a lovely voice: I look forward to future podcasts. I’ve been reading your blog for a while now, and have been consistently impressed with your turns of phrase and charming, candid writing style. It’s great to know your skill and sexiness have made the leap to audio.
Sincerely-

For what it’s worth, I found this excellent tutorial on podcasts a few months ago. He goes over what he uses & why, and how to start on a tight budget. I hope it helps, but I think your first one was excellent. Thank you.

Miss Knees -
You have a wonderfully pleasing and sensuous voice. I sit back, close my eyes and find you soooo relaxing. Can you read me a bedtime story?
